Web Services with Microsoft .NET and Visual C#

Using Microsoft .NET as the primary development toolset, BarAlliance has built their Framework Services based on "Web Services", which help bars connect their members and their staff, using simply the Internet.

What Is .NET ?

.NET is Microsoft's web services strategy to connect information, people, systems, and devices through software.  Totally compatible with emerging internet and enterprise computing standards such as XML, Java script, SQL, etc., .NET technology provides the ability to build, deploy, manage, and use connected, security-enhanced bar management solutions with Web services.  The benefits and finished "product" of using .Net are made available to BarAlliance member bars as a robust web application delivered via ASP.NET.

What is Visual C# ?

Microsoft Visual C#.Net is a very powerful C-derivative object-oriented programming language that is fully .NET compatible and is one of the most widely used and most capable language in which to write Web Services-based applications.  By standardizing the Framework Development Team on a C#-based workflow, BarAlliance has ensured that the feature set and functionality within Framework Services will continue to be rapidly developed and refined.

By using ASP.NET and Visual C# to construct the Framework Services, BarAlliance's system architects have developed a system of web-connected computing which enables a bar organization to integrate and enhance its IT, administrative, and member services functions much more efficiently and rapidly than has been previously available.
